Who we are
Kindling Yard is a small chicken cafe run by a kitchen crew who started with one fire pit and a stubborn idea: cook one thing, cook it properly, keep the menu short.
Every bird is brined the night before and cooked over hardwood coals, tended by hand rather than a thermostat. Sides shift with the season, but the method at the centre never does.
The people behind the counter have worked here since the early days on the road behind the current site, and most of them can still tell you which batch of coals cooked which chicken.
